There was a time in my life when I was never NOT trying to lose weight. Whether it was writing down points, eating Slim Fast bars for breakfast and lunch, or popping caffeine ridden diet pills that made me crazy… there was always some program or set of rules I was attempting (keyword) to follow.
But I rarely lost weight because I totally sucked at dieting.
I’d eat cookies in secret so I wouldn’t have to record the points, I’d have 4 diet-bars because I was seriously unsatisfied with one, and one time I went out and bought a $400 juicer and only lasted 3 days on my cleanse before I got crazy constipated, was a royal bitch to Jonathan because I was hangry (hungry+angry) and found myself covered in chocolate in the supply closet of my office after polishing off an entire bag of Dove Chocolate Promises.
I couldn’t figure out why I wanted to be thin so badly, and knew what to do but couldn’t stick to a diet long enough to lose weight. I knew that something must’ve been seriously wrong with me.
After every failed diet I’d curl up on my couch and just sob out of embarrassment, shame and my deep desire to just feel beautiful, happy, and well… normal. I’d wish and pray and scream for the solution and the strength to get out of body-jail.
And finally, it came, but it wasn’t anything like I expected.
Now, I have an incredible relationship with my body, find it easy to eat healthy and enjoy my favorite foods like wine, cheese and chocolate, I look forward to working out and have an incredibly fun life full of adventure, meaning and romance.
Of course I still have days when I feel like I don’t look good in anything and can overdo it on the ice cream from time to time but overall I’m so grateful that I’ve discovered the secret to having your ideal body without counting calories or stepping foot on a treadmill, and to have the opportunity to help hundreds of women do the same.
So why am I telling you this?
