Happy almost weekend! I know I usually connect on Thursdays, but I’m in total summer mode and have been slackin’ a bit. But I wanted to send you another installment of my wedding series before you start your weekend. Who knows, you may be getting married tomorrow!
You know I’m not one to tell you what to eat, but when it comes to your wedding day, the idea of you eating a piece of buttered toast or dripping a strawberry smoothie on your wedding dress makes me cringe.
So I’m gonna tell you what to eat.
This past weekend, my dear friend KK Krieg tied the knot in Sonoma, California and I was lucky enough to attend her bridal brunch, thrown by our mutual friend and food stylist, Claudine Dagit, founder of Sugar and Spice.
Claudine is a master when it comes to making healthy food gorgeous and delicious, but she sought my advice on what to serve the morning of KK’s wedding, since I’ve been a bride before and, you know, do this food thing for a living.
Together we crafted the perfect menu, which is high energy, long lasting, low bloat, stain free and of course, super tasty.
You are what you eat, and as my friend Jamie recently reminded me, “If you’re gonna eat a scone, you’re gonna be a freak on your wedding day.” Don’t ruin your day by not having the correct fuel, pay special attention to your pre-dress-dawning meal and the rest of your evening will go off without a hitch (haha).
In the comments below I would love to hear your ideas on what to eat on the big day. Don’t be shy 🙂
