14 totally underrated ways to get your ideal body

Before you think I’m just another person putting pressure on you to look a certain way, I want to be clear about something:

When I say “ideal body” I am not talking about looking like your 23 year-old self, your best friend or your favorite celebrity. I am talking about creating YOUR ideal body for your unique phase of life, constitution and lifestyle.

It’s also not about looking a certain way. I believe beauty comes from brightness, depth, magic, grace and health, but health not because of what it makes us look like on the outside, but what we feel on the inside.

This quality of beauty, this way of creating true health, doesn’t come from a meal plan or a gym membership. In fact, a lot of times those things can inhibit and detract from your beauty. All those rules can just suck the life out of you.

I want you to feel juiced up. I want you to feel feminine, grounded and vibrant.

    I love doing your challenges….a few years ago I developed an opiod addiction and realized that part of it was losing myself and developing depression and then self medicating. I learned that I needed to be me, not the me the world thought I should be, but the me I am. So I started wearing red lipstick, wearing funky clothes I loved, saying the things I thought, and quit the job I hated. What I discovered though out this journey was not only was I happier, but so was my family. They got to really get close to me and I to them. That’s why I love the challenges, it helps us discover that person we are without thinking who we should be.

    I’ve received your emails for some time and they totally speak to me – I’ve just never found any way no matter how hard I try or how inspirational the words I read to turn off all the food noise/body shaming. I’m so sure you are right – once you start having a life those things sort themselves out. I’m just worried that isn’t in the cards for me (terrible job with long hours and mom with Alzheimer’s). But I figure I can try at least some things, you never know!
