Open if you don’t like your job

Blog · Your Work

On this Moonday, I need you to know that if you don’t like your job, you can make a change.

If you don’t like your job, staying home with the kids is not your only option (only do that if it’s what you really really want).

If you don’t like your job, you don’t need to take a pay cut.

If you don’t like your job, you don’t need to find another one that is also 40 hours a week.

So many women stay stuck in jobs or situations that don’t fit their soul because they think they have to do this or that.

Limited thinking tricks our brains into thinking that we either have to

Be a lawyer or stay home
Make money and be miserable or be happy and broke
Love our job and never see our kids or see our kids and hate our jobs.

How often do you feel like you have to choose between A or B? Fine or OK? Bad and worse?

NO!!!  NO NO NO NO NO!!!  I want you to feel reach reaching through your screen and shaking you.  This is not how it works.

Having work that we love is not about choosing A or B, but about tuning into the infinite possibilities.

It’s not about what we think is possible or realistic, but about tapping into our ideal and what we truly desire at a soul level.

Still not convinced?  Hear me out.

If you are reading this email on your computer or smartphone, you have the means and the privilege that most people on our planet do not have.  Millions of people will never have the opportunity even think about this. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t, it means you HAVE TO. It is your responsibility to step so fully into your freedom and get paid (well) to do work that makes you happy.

Because when you are fed by your work emotionally and financially, you can go out and serve, support and help people who don’t have the same opportunities that you do.

Now, you may not be able to have your ideal this month or even this year, but what if you started working towards it now knowing in 5-10 years you could have your ideal job?

Jonathan put in 11 years of medical and surgical training before he had the career he desired.

E L E V E N YEARS! And I was with him the whole time.  It was brutal, but it was worth it because he is doing his souls work and we have the rest of lives ahead of us.

So let’s let go of A or B, and create 10 minutes of quiet time today to write about what would be your ideal.

If you want to share, I’d love to hear what your ideal is!

Love,

Sarah
