How to Step Confidently Into the Rest of 2020 [Video]
Halloween isn’t just a costume party. Halloween is a time for deep magic. This powerful night marks the end of the growing season in the Northern Hemisphere and is a celebration of the thinning of the veils between the worlds. It is a time when our ancestors would honor and connect with those who came before them, and we can do the same. It is a time to remember where we came from. It is a time to experience the Otherworld.
On this Night of the Ancestors on Tuesday, October 30th, at 7:30PM, my dear friend Becca Piastrelli and I are hosting a workshop to connect to our lineage. We will gather together, dress in black and bring an ancestral item to lay on the altar. This may be a symbol of your heritage like a traditional food, a rock from your land, a photo of an ancestor, or an item that was passed down to you.
We will share folklore about this time of year, hold a ritual, and explore how ancestral work can deepen our spiritual practice and help us have that feeling of belonging (to each other, to ourselves, and to the Earth) in this age of loneliness.
You can join in person at Hawthorn Farm in Medfield, MA, or via livestream. To sign up, click here.
I am elated to share the space with Becca, who has taught me so much about my wild roots and how ancestral connection can empower us to be more fully alive.
I will not be hosting an in-person Full Moon Circle in October, so I hope you can join us for this magical experience.
