Are you coming? A message of love & justice.

When the world feels heavy, we often feel small. It’s easy to get lost in the magnitude of what’s happening and wish for a kind of knowledge, voice, or power that we just don’t have. Sometimes, I wish I could rattle off political facts as easily as I can talk about metaphors, historical references, or even Taylor Swift lyrics.

Some of us come prepared with knowledge, with punch, with the ability to debate and change minds. I am deeply grateful for these people—keep changing minds, please.

And, this is not my way. As a Priestess, I have taken vows to walk as love, to lead as love, and to teach as love.

Some may say that love is delusional, ineffective, not enough.

Sometimes I feel, because of my own conditioning, that love is delusional, ineffective, not enough.

But in the words of my mentor, Elayne Kalila Doughty, “To see love as not enough, is to not understand what love actually is.”

Love isn’t always seen as powerful in the way we often value strength, but love is our connection to the divine. It gives us a capacity so immense that we can walk through the worst of the world—lifting cars off trapped children, facing down armies, and, yes, even changing the course of history.

Love gives us a capacity so immense that we can heal the deepest wounds, build new cities, create laws based on equity, and invent new technologies to bring thriving to parts of the world that have been suffering.

What’s real is that we are in the midst of one of the most dangerous moments in modern history—an attempt to control and oppress. If you voted for him, I know you didn’t vote for this. And if you haven’t yet seen the full picture of what’s happening, now is the time to look.

This is our invitation to stand together—not just for ourselves, but for all of humanity.

We are living in a time where we have forgotten each other, and in doing so, we have forgotten ourselves. The threads that once wove us together, the deep and sacred connection between all living beings, have been severed. We no longer feel the pulse of the earth beneath our feet, the spiral of life that sustains us all. We’ve allowed ourselves to be pulled into the illusion of separation, convinced that we are islands unto ourselves, when in truth, we are all branches of the same tree, breathing the same air, walking the same sacred ground.

The world feels distant now, as if we are all caught in a fog, disconnected not only from each other but from the very essence of the land, the water, and the sky that sustains us, that loves us. The cries of the earth, the suffering of the oppressed, have become background noise—distant, muffled. We have grown numb, unable to mourn the loss of those we do not know, unaware that the suffering of one is the suffering of all. We no longer hear the wail of mothers whose children are taken from them, or the earth’s sorrow as her forests fall, her rivers are poisoned, and her creatures disappear.

But this is not the way it was meant to be. The earth is a living, breathing being, and so are we. To forget each other is to forget the sacred contract we have with all that exists. When we turn away from the pain of others, we turn away from our own healing. When we ignore the cries of the earth, we ignore the cries of our own souls. It is time to remember—to feel again, to open our hearts to the suffering and to the love that are bound together in this great cosmic masterpiece.

Separation is a tool of oppression. It takes the strongest warriors out of the fight.

I have the type of privilege and life I can hide behind it. I live in a place that protects my rights. My resources, my safety, my skin color—they shield me from many of the struggles others face. And when combined with the conditioning that tells us that these struggles aren’t ours to fight, it’s easy to forget our responsibility. But love—love is our responsibility. It’s our sacred mission.

Some of you have built lives that seem safe, insulated, where calm is maintained by carefully managed conversations and avoidance of conflict. But we are in a time of upheaval. The waters are rough, and if you cling to stillness, you may only find yourself confined to a small, stagnant pond.

It’s time to build a bigger, stronger boat.

If fear or uncertainty is holding you back, it’s time to cast aside the illusion of powerlessness. Instead of retreating into a life that isolates you from the world, tear down the walls and build a bridge—step into the moment with us.

I’m sharing this because I see so many with resources and safety retreating when we need them most. We need everyone on the front lines of this change.

If you’re already here—if you’re already standing in opposition—hello. You are the leaders. Now is the time to dig even deeper.

Sometimes we resist changing our actions because we don’t want to face the regret of how we’ve acted in the past. But regret is part of being human, and growth is the fundamental principle of this planet. Now is the time to grow.

Remember: simply having humanitarian ideals isn’t enough. Love is justice in action.

Love and grief are always intertwined. Can you pause and imagine being with a mother whose child has just been taken from her at the border? Can you sit with a man who has just lost his wife because she was denied a life-saving abortion? Can you stand in an ancient forest, watching centuries-old trees fall for oil?

If this administration directly impacts you or your children, know that I, along with millions of others, stand in solidarity with your right to exist and thrive.

My role is to hold the space for sacred work.

Sacred work is not about turning a blind eye to the horrors of the world. It’s about expanding our capacity to face them. It gives us the clarity and strength to act and the vision to create real change. Sacred work is knowing that your liberation is tied to the liberation of all.

This is not a time for safe distance. It is a time to resource yourself—to strengthen your spirit so you can sit with pain, carry the weight of suffering, create new systems that support thriving, and stand with your fellow humans by fulfilling the role you came here to play in this moment.

My hope is that you connect with the ancient, powerful part of yourself—the part that knows what is right and is unshaken by fear or control. From this place, you can face every challenge with justice and love.

Over the next few weeks, we will be sharing a new email series: Threads of Remembrance. Through the lens of the Sacred Feminine, we will explore how its erasure has led us here and how we can restore love to the planet. We will share history, practices, tools, actions, and support to help you stand firm in this moment—in your kitchens, communities, and countries.

We’ll also invite you into ceremony—an essential way to remember our sacred purpose, expand our capacity, and walk through fire together.

Under today’s full moon in Leo, the archetype of the leader, with Uranus, the planet of revolution, in powerful alignment, it calls you to ignite the fire of your heart, dismantle the false walls that divide us, and stand in the truth of your sacred mission, where love and justice are no longer just ideals, but the life force that drives you to act and to heal the world.

This moment is a turning point. It could be a moment of collapse or a moment of miraculous love. I choose love. Are you coming?

With love & fire,

Sarah

Thank you, beloved! Too often, our romantic culture holds love as a noun, something soft and cuddly and passive something that happens’ to ‘ you. This is a time to hold Love as a verb, a time for love to be in action and live love as a verb🙌💞🙌💞
