As you know, tomorrow is an important day. I’m opening up enrollment for Live More Weigh Less Mastery for the last time until Spring 2015. It’s always an exciting day with women stepping up and saying “YES! I am worth it. I deserve to have a life I love and a body to match, NOW.” I can feel the energy of this group already, and I know it’s going to be a powerful community this year.
The other thing that happens is that I get a lot of pleas from women who don’t want to spend money on the program and ask me to give it to them for free. And to be honest, I wish I could. My heart breaks for women whose husbands have lost their job or are just starting a business. I’ve so been there.
I want to help, but what I’ve found helps more than giving people things for free, is encouraging them to change their relationship with money. Investing in yourself feels so much better than getting a handout, and is actually a huge part of the healing process. I know that spending money is uncomfortable, but you’re not growing unless you’re uncomfortable.
This issue is that so many of us act as if money is happening to us – that we’re stuck in our situation with no way out. I used to feel this way. I was pissed that I wasn’t getting enough clients, pissed that Jonathan didn’t make more money and pissed that I didn’t have a trust fund. I know it can sound spoiled, but I think all us spend a lot of time blaming our situation on other people.
It wasn’t until I put myself in charge of my financial health and learned feminine strategies for attracting money, did I start making some serious cash and paid off $30,000 worth of debt in under a year.
My dear friend Kate Northrup has just released the most incredible book called Money: A Love Story where she lays out the exact protocol she used to become financially free and get out of $20,000 of debt. Kate’s expertise goes way beyond anything I’ve ever learned about in terms of our relationship with money and continues to be a huge source of growth for me.
Kate actually interviewed me on my money love story which you can listen to by clicking below. Warning: it’s very raw and very honest.
And when you order Kate’s book, you’ll get access to A Course in Having Enough, a live online event Kate is teaching with Marianne Williamson, Barbara Stanny, and Amanda Steinberg. For details and to order go to www.moneyalovestory.com.
If you’re nervous about affording Live More Weigh Less Mastery, this may be the confidence you need to make a decision.
One of my favorite points Kate makes in her book is that often we spend money on things we think we should value like a new car, a fancy cell phone or clothes for our kids. When what we actually value (and complain we don’t have enough of often) like our health, happiness and passion, we spend little to no money on. Kate teaches us that when our spending is truly inline with our values, we feel instantly more abundant, and naturally attract more money into our lives.
In my own life, I’ve discovered that spending money on my personal development is the best investment I can make because I can never lose what I’ve gained. Last year alone I invested over $30,000 in my personal growth, which was the same year I paid off my debt. And when I am at the top of my game in my body, relationship and lifestyle, I am a money makin’ machine.
If you want to make sure you get the announcement about tomorrow, make sure to sign up for the video training series here. You’ll also get an invite to my virtual launch party where I’m giving away amazing prizes.
To your financial success,
Sarah
