How to celebrate the Summer Solstice

My close friends call me “The Practical Priestess”, my mastermind queens call me “Witchy Martha Stewart”, my Priestess friends call me “Fire Starter”, and what I love about these pet names is the illustration of how I love to bring Sacred concepts into everyday life – my work focuses on how we can wake up to our Soul’s message in Ceremony and immediately apply it to our lives.

We are on the doorstep of one of the most powerful days of the year – the Summer Solstice – and it happens to fall around a New Moon.

What I have witnessed in thousands of women over the years is that when we gather in Ceremony on a potent day of the year, connect with our true paths we are meant to take, and come up with a strategic and practical plan to execute it in our daily life (starting NOW), we can make changes that would previously have taken us months, or even years to step into.

Summer Solstice is all about you stepping into your spotlight. We each have a place we are meant to shine in our lives, but many of us are too busy running around, making sure everybody else is nourished and comfortable and moving toward stepping into their spotlight, that we never get around to ours.

I have found that there’s no greater illustration of that than “June with school-age kids.”

I honestly don’t remember the last time I showered because I find I only have time to jump in the lake and move on to the next school performance or end-of-the-year party. In so many ways, it’s such a beautiful honoring of the ending of this season – and I am working to make it all feel sacred even when it feels like one too many things.

That said, I am ready to replenish my gas tank, re-ground my intentions for myself, and have a summer filled with luscious, abundant space.

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with being there for your kids at the end of the school year, AND it is a lot. I believe this is the perfect opportunity for some rebalancing so we can make sure we step into our own Soul’s spotlight and use this summer to be the fullest expression of who we are.
